The Gathering is an ongoing series presented by the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice. Events are open to the greater Berklee community and public, and feature performances, guest lectures, workshops, and discussions—all with gender and racial equity as a guiding principle.
This week's Gathering guest will be dancer Christiana Hunte, a versatile artist from Brooklyn, New York, who specializes in movement. She trained at Creative Outlet Dance Theater and performed as a soloist at Madison Square Garden with Burna Boy in 2022. Since 2018, she has been with Antonio Brown Dance, and currently collaborates with jazz masters Esperanza Spalding B.M. '05 and Terri Lyne Carrington. Hunte has also worked with artists like Samora Pinderhughes, Kris Davis, and Morgan Guerin. She teaches ballet at Move NYC and in 2024, performed with the National Theater of Ghana.
