Senior Events and Celebrations
These events are open to all graduating seniors at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Jabulani
In this culminating academic event hosted by the Africana Studies Division, we rejoice in the individual and collective academic and artistic achievements of our African, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latinx, Black, and African American students. This rite of passage is grounded in an African aesthetic that equally represented the creative excellence of their Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee education. We continue the tradition in 2026 as a beloved community of elders, mentors, and siblings.
Lavender Cultural Celebration
LGBTQ+ communities have cultivated a powerful tapestry defined by expressive arts, performance traditions, communal care, and spaces of celebration - from cabaret stages and house balls to literary salons, music scenes, and activist artistry. Berklee’s Lavender Senior Cultural Celebration honors the Class of 2026 within this cultural legacy, recognizing the ways these traditions fuel imagination, strengthen community, and inspire transformative creativity.
OHANA Cultural Celebration
The Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American communities honor and celebrate rites of passage through rich traditions and diverse cultures. Berklee’s Ohana Senior Cultural Celebration (formerly APIDA celebration) celebrates the class of 2026 in the spirit of these traditions, and highlights the harmony between heritage and innovation, celebrating the artistry and cultural legacy which expands perspectives and strengthens Berklee’s global story.
Raízes Cultural Celebration
The Latinx and Hispanic communities have rich traditions and vibrant cultures which honor rites of passage at various points of life. Berklee’s Raízes Senior Cultural Celebration (formerly Latinx Graduation) celebrates the class of 2026 graduates in the spirit of these traditions, and uplifts the voices, languages, and cultural expressions that reflect the spirit of family and music—celebrating the rhythm, pride, and storytelling that sustain and inspire Berklee’s shared journey.
First-Generation Celebration
The Watch Me RISE: First-Generation Graduation Celebration is a heartfelt gathering designed to honor the incredible journey of graduating students who are the first in their families to earn a college degree. This event is more than just a ceremony. It's a celebration of triumph, growth, and the emotional depth of this monumental achievement.
