Katrina Zaicek
Katrina Zaicek (she/her) joined the Student Success Advising team in 2022. With a diverse background ranging from early childhood education and K–12 school counseling to post-secondary international student support, she offers a holistic approach to student care. Zaicek feels most at home in success advising, where she cherishes the opportunity to guide students as they explore their passions and grow into their most authentic selves. Grounded in her counseling training, she follows a strengths-based advising philosophy, focusing on the positives in any situation and serving as a dedicated "personal cheerleader" for her advisees.
Since joining Berklee, Zaicek has been instrumental in reimagining the Student Advising Mentor (SAM) Program. As a SAM supervisor and the team’s marketing lead, she created and manages both the @berkleesuccessadvising Instagram and Success Advising YouTube channel as engaging, informative resources for the Berklee community.
Zaicek holds an M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. in Psychology from Binghamton University (SUNY). Her education is firmly rooted in social justice and equitable care, and she will always go above and beyond to ensure her students' unique needs are met.
When not at Berklee, you can find Zaicek binging workplace comedies with her cats (Tutti and Otis), tending to her garden, collecting funky earrings and eyeglass frames, and zipping around Boston on her electric scooter.
