Gaby Cotter is a Panamanian singer, songwriter, and educator. A mellow voice with a strong stage presence. Her music is a fusion of pop, jazz, and R&B with the richness of Latin American sounds. She graduated with honors from the University of Panama with a degree in fine arts and a concentration in music; she also holds a diploma from Berklee College of Music, where she studied vocal performance.

For more than 10 years, Cotter has established herself as a performer, shining in various musical styles. She has shared the stage with important names on the music industry scene like Andrea Bocelli, Vitín Paz, Cassandra Wilson, Aida Cuevas, and Ariacne Trujillo, to name a few.

In addition, Cotter has performed on various stages, from emblematic venues around the world to the coziest and most intimate shows. In her home country she performed in the National Theatre of Panama, the Figali Convention Center, and Casco Viejo. She has had the opportunity to sing at the international festival Al Sur del Arte in Costa Rica, the Manuel Bonilla National Theater in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, singing with the polyphonic choir "A Viva Voz." In the United States, she has performed at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, the Berklee Performance Center, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the historic Wally's Cafe Jazz Club in Boston, and in more intimate venues in Somerville, Cambridge, and New York City. In Europe, she has presented her music in one of the "Twelve Treasures of the Kingdom of Spain": the City of Arts and Sciences. In Valencia, Spain, Cotter has performed at Matisse Club, Teatro el Musical, and Radio City; in at other small venues in Madrid and Barcelona. In Rome, she's performed in the Il Baffo della Gioconda.

Along with her singing career, Cotter has dedicated many years to being a voice instructor, music teacher, and choral conductor. She has coached students in Panama, the United States, and Spain. Besides singing, she incorporates acting as a fundamental part of the interpretation. She also focuses on preserving the health of the voice; creating a connection with the lyrics; and helping shy students transform into strong performers. Cotter's rich musical background, career experience, and extraordinary storytelling skills render her as a leader in the contemporary singing idiom and an influential, genuine performer.
