Lorna Jane Norris is a British-born singer, teaching artist, and nonprofit arts leader. Classically trained, Norris has been performing art song, musical theater, singer-songwriter, and sacred music styles in New England for over 20 years. She has dedicated much of her working life to supporting the development of young people through singing. She specializes in helping her students to fully understand how their voice works and to build foundational techniques so that they can go on to sing whatever music makes them happy.

Following a career as a leader in the community music school field, Norris launched her own coaching, consulting and recruitment firm in 2020, specializing in supporting small to medium size nonprofit arts organizations, and the people who work for them. Norris’s singing and work are grounded in her love for yoga and running among the trees.

In Their Own Words

"[I want students to come away with] an increased understanding of how a student's voice uniquely functions as a versatile instrument that can be used for a variety of genres [as well as provide] a strong technical foundation."

"I am a certified life coach who takes a holisitic approach to a student's development."
