In Their Own Words

There's so much to learn from every style of music, from orchestral classics to Kamasi Washington and everything outside and in between. Curiosity is a critical component to creativity.

There are tiers of pragmatic skills that ensembles will expect of their directors. I've learned how to prioritize what students will need immediately versus what superlative technical qualities they can develop as their career continues.
