New Works by Amnon Wolman with Berklee Interdisciplinary Arts Institute

Composer Amnon Wolman (laptop), Neil Leonard (saxophone), artistic director of the Berklee Interdisciplinary Arts Institute (BIAI), and BIAI students present a new collaboration on two pieces composed by Wolman, “Security Vehicles Only” and “Flagger Ahead.” “Security Vehicles Only” employs two poems by John Ashberry; the piece recently premiered at the Tectonics Festival in Tel Aviv. “Flagger Ahead,” a visual performance piece, will feature Berklee student artists Lee Gilboa, Harrison Sayed, Nikhil Singh, and Tanya Phillips.

For “Flagger Ahead,” the students will assemble “altars” to encourage deeper thinking about sound and sonic imagination for the audience.

This performance will be followed by a performance at Experimental Intermedia in New York City on Saturday, December 17, 2016.
