Berklee students from the Arranging for Songwriters class perform.

In conjunction with the Red Room at Cafe 939, the Songwriting Department proudly presents BOOM (Berklee Original Open Mic), an open mic event for Berklee songwriters. 

The Original Bands Showcase features four Berklee College of Music bands playing 30 minute sets of original music in various genres.

Berklee Songwriters Round is inspired by the in-the-round performances at the famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. The event features up to five Berklee songwriters seated in a circle as they take turns playing songs.

On the anniversary of a shooting at their school, eight teenagers struggle to transform their despair into hope, each through very different means. LATE, a new musical in development, offers a unique way for communities to reflect, engage, and foster dialogue around the critical issue of gun violence in schools. 

In conjunction with the Red Room at Cafe 939, the Songwriting Department proudly presents BOOM (Berklee Original Open Mic), an open mic event for Berklee songwriters. 

The Songwriting Department at Berklee presents an evening of hip-hop, highlighting the varied styles of this genre through performances from current students. This event is hosted by songwriting professors Cliff Notez and Dan Cantor.

Cristina Vaira, faculty in the Songwriting Department, will debut songs from her upcoming album, I Wanna See You Fly. The album is a powerful reflection on transformation, resilience, and self-empowerment, born from facing and embracing life’s darkest moments.
