The Jazz Composition Festival opens with a master class featuring two of the most influential voices in jazz trombone: Jennifer Wharton and John Fedchock. Wharton, the powerhouse bass trombonist behind the Grammy-nominated Bonegasm, joins acclaimed trombonist and arranger Fedchock, leader of the celebrated New York Big Band, to share their unique perspectives on performance, improvisation, and composition.
 

Jazz composition and drum set principal Xuanhe Song presents his jazz composition portfolio.

The Berklee Jazz Composers' Workshop Orchestra, directed by Ayn Inserto and Randy Pingrey, performs original student compositions and arrangements featuring guest artists John Fedchock and Jen Wharton as part of Berklee’s Jazz Composition Festival.
 

Nick and the Travelers present original funk fusion compositions performed by a 14-piece ensemble featuring vocals, horns, and rhythm section.

Drummer/composer Josie May presents her senior recital, featuring original jazz fusion tunes arranged for small brass ensemble.

Allison Miller, the Harmony and Jazz Composition Department's Ken Pullig Visiting Scholar, directs an ensemble of students performing her own works alongside compositions brought in by the band.

Allison Miller will deliver a drum set master class with emphasis on compositional applications as part of the Harmony and Jazz Composition Department's Jazz Composition Festival. This event is presented in in conjunction with the Percussion Department.

Violeta Lopez-Ibanez presents Everything, an original program blending jazz, R&B, Greek folk, Latin, and electronic influences.

Allison Miller, the Ken Pullig Visiting Scholar for the Harmony and Jazz Composition Department, brings her group Boom Tic Boom to Berklee’s Jazz Composition Festival. The ensemble features Caroline Davis, Jason Palmer, Shamie Royston, Patricia Brennan, Rashaan Carter, and Miller herself.
 

Jazz composer Alexander Ted Chen's senior recital will feature original compositions and arrangements.
