This course, one of two capstone course options for music education master's students, is an independent practice-based project that results in the creation of a significant deliverable, such as curricular materials, assessments, technological resources, teacher professional development materials, etc. This course is taken twice consecutively. This course is the capstone of both the Master of Music in music education program and the Master of Music in music education (autism concentration) program. Students are assigned a faculty supervisor for their research/teaching project. All of the research/teaching projects completed in each academic year are presented by the students in a formal event, which takes place in early May.
