This foundational course introduces students to the principles and practices of financial accounting. Students will learn how to identify, record, and summarize business transactions and prepare essential financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The course emphasizes the accounting cycle, internal controls, and the interpretation of financial data for decision-making purposes, preparing students for further study in accounting, finance, and business strategy.
