Vocal Processing Lab
Course Number
ILEL-212
Description
This course explores practical applications of real-time effects processing for live vocal performances. By processing their own voices in regular class exercises and live sets, students will use a variety of quintessential vocal effects, including filtering, delay and reverb throws, pitch shifting, vocoding, and harmonization. Many of the skills developed in this class can be applied to other acoustic audio sources, and students are encouraged to develop their own unique styles of live vocal processing throughout the semester.
