Game and Interactive Media Scoring Practicum

Description

A real-world immersion course in which students learn about aspects of game and interactive media scoring that go beyond composition and production by collaborating on actual student games. These will include collaborations with students in roles such as composer and sound designer, as well as student game projects from partner institutions. Lectures and discussions will consist of real-world examples of how the relationship works between the sound and music teams and the developers. Critiques of student projects and processes will illuminate standards and best practices in the industry.
