Bookwriting for Musical Theater 2

Description

This course prepares students for the completion of the full draft of their Culminating Experience musical libretto. Students will be encouraged to incorporate rewrite steps upon reflection of the entire dramatic arc of their musical, reverse-actioning their story, examining the journeys of their characters, and tracking the armature of their show while refining the theatrical language and consistency of tone throughout. Additionally, students will edit scenes and dialogue and songs based upon faculty feedback in an effort to deliver a coherent draft.
