Description
Students enrolled in this course will survey the history of the book (libretto) accompanying a musical and delineate the roles of both elements. Through analysis of effective musicals both past and present, students will work to identify the elements of clear and compelling storytelling while workshopping their own original ideas, outlining a clear narrative foundation for their project, and ultimately developing a book of their own.
