The Lavender Planning Committee is happy to announce the 2022 Lavender Celebration. Launched in 2019, Lavender is a gathering that honors LGBTQ+ graduates and was initiated by Berklee students who had a vision and desire to celebrate their journeys and achievements in community. We invite the LGBTQ+ graduating students to register now for this special moment by April 1.
The 2022 Lavender Celebration will be hosted on Thursday, May 5, 2022, 7:00 p.m., at Seully Hall.
Attention graduating students of African descent: Register now for the 2022 Jabulani reception and ceremony Registrations are due by Friday, April 1. Jabulani is a Zulu word meaning "rejoice," and the Jabulani ceremony is a rite of passage celebrating Berklee’s graduates of the Black/African diaspora, honoring their journeys and achievements through a community celebration on Friday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the 132 Ipswich building (room T100).
This event will highlight the artistry, stories, and experiences of these students, who will receive a kente cloth stole to wear during Berklee’s commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7. Family and loved ones are invited to attend to celebrate with you.
