The Movement at Berklee

The Movement at Berklee is a powerful, student-led program that uses performance as a catalyst for community building and social change. Student, faculty, staff, and alumni volunteers collaborate with partner organizations to conduct a broad range of activities including youth mentorship, performance outreach, and musical instruction. Perform

Songs for Social Change Contest 

This annual contest, presented by Berklee's Songwriting Department and the Songs for Social Change Initiative, encourages students to write songs that promote positive change. Submit an original song that meets the criteria listed at the above link, and you could win up to $1,500, plus a chance to perform your song in our Songs for Social Change Showcase.

Earthapalooza 

At Berklee’s annual Earth Day celebration, student bands perform original music about the environment, alternating with faculty and guest speakers.
