Professor Hey Rim Jeon of the Piano Department will present an afternoon of solo piano music as her annual faculty concert. Described as a “brilliant pianist” by legendary saxophonist Benny Golson, Jeon is a multi-award winning pianist, composer, and educator. Following her huge success in recent concerts at major jazz venues, such as Scullers Jazz Club in Boston and Birdland in NYC, she will perform some music from her critically acclaimed album Groovitude, featuring multi–Grammy Award winning drummer Terri Lyne Carrington and also from her new solo piano album scheduled to be released next year.
