Tom Huangpu is an indie-folk singer-songwriter who values authenticity and vulnerability in his songwriting. Huangpu believes the most important thing in the world is connection and understanding. He uses his music to convey and evoke feelings and experiences that words alone can't describe. Huangpu’s writing draws from artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Leith Ross, and Ryan Beatty. Glimpses of their honest lyricism and lush production can be heard on his past singles and debut EP, what i think i know.
Huangpu is an expert at telling honest stories of his experiences and producing a sonic atmosphere that elevates them even further. Although he writes to better understand himself, he hopes he can connect with his listeners and mean something to them.
Tom Huangpu will be performing as part of Berklee’s Summer in the City 2026 concert series. View series schedule.
