Magalí Benítez is a Paraguayan pianist, keyboardist, and composer whose eclectic style blends jazz with Paraguayan and South American music. Her work explores the intersections between jazz and other cultures through improvisation. Currently based in Boston, she is pursuing a master’s degree at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute on a full scholarship.
Benítez leads MAJUJA Trio, an instrumental project that explores Paraguayan music with jazz influences, and has performed at international festivals such as the Panama Jazz Festival, Curitiba Jazz Festival, and AsuJazz. In 2024, she released the group’s debut EP. As a session musician, she contributes to a wide range of musical projects across different genres. In addition to her artistic work, she is the founder of We Exist!, a jazz festival that promotes gender equity by spotlighting the work of Paraguayan women in jazz.
