Students will develop proficiency using the turntable as their DJ playback device, utilizing vinyl records to learn skills like advanced beatmatching, cueing, and pitch bending on spinning platters. The course also traces the historical development of DJing from its origins as an expression of the recorded medium to its importance in modern day culture.
