Description

This course explores how we tell stories in interactive media. Using the tools of game design and principles of modern drama, students will analyze and create experiences in interactive frameworks that deliver narrative. With a focus on the tools of game design and how player choices intersect with narrative tools — including narrative structures like plot, conflict, and metaphor — students will create various experiences from basic board games, to interactive fiction, to utilizing the Unity game engine to build interactive virtual worlds.
