Tal Shalom-Kobi is a music educator, upright bass player, performer, band leader, composer, and lecturer. She founded and established Tal’s Music World, where she has taught piano and bass, as well as conducted a robust ensemble program for youth and adults for over 30 years. Along with her work as an educator, Shalom-Kobi is an active performer throughout New England, having appeared at Boston Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, The Regattabar, and Rules. She has worked as a founder and band leader with various groups through the years, including The Jazz Marauders, Trio Tutta, Cruzamente, and the award-winning Women in World Jazz. Her arrangements and performances can be found on recordings, such as A Tribute to Women Artists by Women In World Jazz (2017), Cruzamente by Cruzamente (2014), Spectrum by Trio Tutta (2010), Songstyles by Paul Monte (2010), Space For Rent by The Jazz Marauders (2008), and The Jazz Marauders by The Jazz Marauders (2005).
