Fusion Nouveau is a four horn fusion band that combines elements of early jazz fusion and contemporary fusion with classic horn band influences. Recent compositions have incorporated elements of progressive rock as well. The music is mostly written by Bob Pilkington, professor of Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music. The band has played in the Boston area and occasionally in Tokyo, Japan, since 2009.
