Description
Legendary Singers will focus on various aspects of the careers and lives of iconic singers of the past. Using examples mostly from the 20th Century, the class will show how classical and music theater singers were affected by media, including the press, recordings, radio, film, and television. Discussions will include terminology used to describe singers’ voices, and how some singers were not only significant to music history but also to world history.
