Deborah Kidd is an entertainment attorney and associate professor at Berklee College of Music. She teaches Legal Aspects of the Music Industry, Copyright, and the Advanced Legal Issues and Contract Negotiation Workshop, with a strong emphasis on real-world application and experiential learning. Her courses focus on helping students understand the legal and business frameworks that shape creative careers in the modern music industry.

She maintains an of counsel relationship with a New York–based entertainment law firm, Steger Law, and brings extensive industry experience into the classroom through case studies, simulations, and project-based learning, while maintaining clear professional boundaries between education and legal practice. Deborah is also the founder of Airhug Radio, a curated web radio station focused on independent artists. Earlier in her career, Deborah served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Air Force during the post-9/11 era, an experience that continues to inform her approach to leadership, ethics, and professional responsibility.
