Eric Lewis (a.k.a. ELEW) has carved out a niche for himself as a performer in the self-invented new genre, "rockjazz." His transformation from jazz purist to rock-influenced jazz artist came from a search for new angles of expression, as he believes rock and jazz have special storytelling appeal. For this concert, Lewis, a winner of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, is joined by Berklee Ensemble Department Professors Lil John Roberts and Mimi Jones.
