Matthew Ashley is a bass guitarist from the small town of Dickerson, Maryland. He has been studying music for over 10 years and is currently entering his final year at Berklee College of Music, majoring in bass guitar performance. Ashley's sound is heavily influenced by session players of the '70s and '80s such as Chuck Rainey, Robert Popwell, and Anthony Jackson. His goal is to implement groove into any style that he plays and he aspires to tour and record as a session bass player professionally after Berklee.
