Mehrpouya is an improvisational Iranian clarinetist and kamancheh player. His music is influenced by Iranian classical music, which is based on microtonal intervals. He blends this musical background into Western jazz and fusion, creating a unique sound. In Mehrpouya’s music, you can hear Middle Eastern melodies combined with jazz and fusion elements, making it truly global. He tours with internationally renowned musicians such as Edward Perez, Kayhan Kalhor, and Ehsan Matoori.
