Kaju Barfi
Kaju Barfi presents a fusion of beatboxing mixed with Indian classical music, Bollywood, and familiar cover songs that can be enjoyed by a wide range of audiences from different musical backgrounds. The group is led by Shivaraj Natraj (The Konnakol Beatboxer), who represented India at Ravenna, Italy, in 2017, and who is the vocalist for the band Project Mishram, which has completed three successful international tours of the UK and EU, and festival performances at UK Tech Fest, ArcTangent, and Louder Than Life Festival in 2024. The group includes famed Hindustani singers Reeshabh Purohit, (singer at the NMACC in Mumbai with directors Ajay and Atul, collaborations with Rajhesh Vaidhya, Tanmay Deochake, and others) and Nandini Samanta (worked with Rob and Ash, producer for Christina Aguilera, mixed for compositions presented to Robert Downey Jr. at MIT, worked with Grammy–nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble and three-time Grammy winner Ricky Kej), Japanese jazz keyboardist Hana Uwai, and sometimes featured violinist Pranav Swaroop (Raghu Dixit Project, Project Mishram, accompanied Carnatic legends like Palghat Ramprasad, Varijashree Venugopal, and is an All India Radio graded artist).
