Description

This course introduces students to research as an opportunity to “wonder” and seek knowledge through disciplined inquiry. Students will be introduced to research skills and practices that will help them make use of scholarly work in their practice as music educators. Students may choose to continue research in various capacities, or students may simply want to have a deep understanding of the body of music education research literature. This course presents an overview of a variety of techniques, methods, and designs in research that allows students to choose the best way to investigate a number of issues and discoveries in music education.
