Mirella Costa

Brazilian singer Mirella Costa will sing classics of her country's music, along with her own contemporary arrangements.

Costa earned a bachelor's degree in popular music, Brazilian music, and jazz from Souza Lima Music Conservatory in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2016, she recorded her first solo CD, Minha Arca, for which she was named New Artist of the Year in Brazil.

Costa studies with a full scholarship at Berklee College of Music. She recently sang in the Berklee tribute concert for Brazilian great Milton Nascimento. She is working on the EP Grande Divas, which will honor great singers of Brazilian music, including Elis Regina, Nana Caymmi, and Elza Soares.
