Hailing from Madagascar, singer-songwriter Niu Raza has performed with record producer Don Jazzy and Grammy Award–winner Hugh Masekela. Blending jazzy vocals with soul, African groove, Caribbean beats, and pop, her sound is full, mature, and alluring.
In addition, dancer Avery Gerhardt will lead a choreographed performance with students from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. How Does It Feel is a dance critique on the miscellaneous notions of how objects define space. The work asks several questions surrounding the permission given to male bodies in contrast to female bodies, and the possible consequences of those differences.
