Tune-Up Sessions
Tune-Up Sessions are group study sessions. Several tutors will be present to help students as questions arise. No prior registration needed! Below are the dates, times, and locations.

Core Music Tutoring
Core music tutoring at Berklee provides students with one-on-one and group assistance to help them reach their potential. These services are offered to all students currently enrolled in Berklee’s core music curriculum. Courses include Fundamentals of Ear Training, Music Fundamentals, Music Application and Theory, Harmony 2–4, Ear Training 1–4, Solfege 1–2, Arranging 1–2, Tonal Harmony and Composition 1–2, Art of Counterpoint, Conducting 1-2, Harmonic Ear Training, Chord Scale Voicings, and Techniques of Tonal Writing. Students can sign up starting on the first day of classes each semester.
Our tutors are all Berklee upper-semester undergraduate students who have displayed great proficiency in core music courses. They are also certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), a national peer-tutoring certification program. The trainings are facilitated by core music tutoring administration.
Center Hours
- Weekly tutoring: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
- Drop-in tutoring: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., and Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
One-on-One Tutoring
Need some help with tricky topics in harmony or getting a little more practice doing dictation? One-on-one tutoring appointments can be scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students can either sign up for one 50-minute weekly tutoring session or up to three 30-minute, one-time drop-in sessions per week. These sessions are typically conducted in well-equipped private study rooms at the Berklee Library or piano/keyboard practice rooms in the 150 Massachusetts Avenue building.

Other Offerings
Lead Sheet/Chart-Making Workshops
We offer weekly workshops in lead-sheet construction to help students communicate their musical ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner. These sessions are open to all and require registration. The Lead Sheet Drop-Ins take place on Tuesdays in the fall and spring semesters from 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., located at 150 Mass. Ave. in Library Lab 2. Sign-ups for Lead Sheet Drop-Ins are open on Monday and Tuesday each week. Students may sign up at berklee-cmt.traccloud.com and click on "click here for drop-in tutoring."
imPACt - Peer-Academic Coaching
imPACt, or Peer-Academic Coaching at the 150 Mass Ave Library is an opportunity for College and Conservatory students to develop their strengths as they navigate their college journey. Students have the option of working one-on-one with an academic coach on skills related to academic success. Academic coaching sessions have a flexible schedule and are 30 minutes in length. Students can access this service in addition to their weekly tutoring. Academic coaching is separate from tutoring.
