Description

Building on skills developed in the EPD core curriculum, this course focuses on the sound design, production, and mixing of sound for picture, including both animation and live-action media. Working in the EPD studios, students will develop proficiency in creating and integrating SFX, Foley, dialogue, background ambience, and music into complete soundtracks that enhance narrative and emotional impact. Emphasis is placed on creative storytelling through sound, advanced production workflows, and professional-level techniques for film, television, video games, and emerging media formats, culminating in a multichannel mix for picture. Students will gain experience with industry-relevant tools and applications essential for pursuing careers in sound design and audio production across a variety of visual media platforms.
