In Their Own Words
I want students to come away from my classes and lessons with:
1. How to connect with grooves, whether they be jazz, Brazilian, Latin, African, or others
2. How to increase harmonic knowledge to get around the fingerboard and better one's voice leading, comping, chord soloing, and original composition
3. Strengthen the balance between playing with a pick and finger-style
4. Finding the connection between blues/funk and jazz styles

My professional background informs my teaching with a direct connection to practical experience.
