Howard Shore Profiled by Boston Globe, WBUR on Eve of The Lord of the Rings Symphony Performance

Ahead of Berklee's presentation of The Lord of the Rings Symphony on April 19, composer and alumnus Howard Shore '69 '08H talked to WBUR and the Boston Globe about returning to his alma mater to hear his two-hour tour de force performed at Boston’s Symphony Hall.
In an interview with Meghna Chakrabarti of Radio Boston, Shore reveals his favorite of the 80-plus film scores he’s composed. He also reflects on his time at Berklee and the impact it had on his remarkable 40-year career. "(Berklee) opened up the whole world to me," says Shore. "It gave you a really broad scope of what was possible in music, and frankly, I’m 70 now, but I've been using the ideas I learned at Berklee in the '60s for years and years."
