Drama Desk Award–winner Chesney Snow is widely considered a pioneering figure in American beatbox culture. Snow is a full-time lecturer of theater and music theater at Princeton University and an associate professor at Berklee College's New York City campus. He executive produced and starred in the feature documentary film American Beatboxer, which was placed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, and Harvard University's Hiphop Archive and Research Institute, among others. The film was licensed by Revolt TV.

Snow was a three-time artist-in-residence at Harvard University and has taught master classes and workshops at Harvard University, Princeton University, the Juilliard School, New York University, University of Wisconsin, and for the U.S. Department of State. He has worked at leading regional theaters as a lyricist, sound artist, composer, actor, and playwright including McCarter Theatre Center, Long Wharf Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Two River Theater, Village Theatre, Delaware Theatre Company, New Victory Theater, Dixon Place, and National Black Theatre, to name a few.

Snow starred on Broadway’s first a cappella musical In Transit; in that production, he originated the role of Boxman, which he also performed off Broadway at Primary Stages. In Transit was the most nominated off-Broadway show of the 2010 season, receiving multiple Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and Lortel nominations. He wrote and starred in Soil Beneath: An Empirical Decay off Broadway at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters; the production was directed by Kimille Howard and Pulitzer finalist Diedre Murray composed the score. In 2021, he joined the creative team as a vocal soundscape artist on the Broadway play Skeleton Crew written by Dominique Morisseau and directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson at Manhattan Theatre Club. He has headlined Carnegie Hall twice with Distinguished Concerts International New York and has toured internationally with the U.S. Department of State.

Snow has performed alongside legends including Nile Rodgers, KRS-One, Kayah, Russ Kaplan, and Eternia, among notable others. He has opened for such artists as Snoop Dogg, Gloria Gaynor, Sister Sledge, MC Lyte, and Pharoahe Monch. He is a member of the group Spoken Love; its debut album was released on Warner Music Europe. He has written chart-topping songs in Europe for multi-platinum selling artists including Edyta Górniak and Marina. He is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and Actors Equity Association.
