Taylor Deneen
Taylor Deneen is a singer-songwriter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her signature sound comes from a variety of genres including R&B, pop, gospel, and jazz. Some of her influences are Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and D’Angelo. She began singing at the age of 6 and composing music shortly afterward. At just 21, she has performed for the likes of Missy Elliot, Chaka Khan, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Epic Records’ Sylvia Rhone, just to name a few. Deneen has also studied under the direction of musical director Rob Lewis, prominently known for his work with Christina Aguilera and Toni Braxton. A full scholarship recipient, she's a winner of the Berklee Voice Department’s Outstanding Performer Award. Most recently, you may have seen her singing in Berklee’s commencement concert, paying tribute to Pharrell Williams with his hit song “Happy.” This summer, she will complete her studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree in professional music and contemporary writing and production. If you're hearing her for the first time, be prepared to be moved by her distinct sound and effortless vocals. The future is bright for this promising young talent.
