Born in Havana, Cuba, Sheila del Bosque Fuentes is a flutist, composer, and conductor who has played recorder, flute, and traverse baroque flute in major theaters and festivals throughout Cuba, South Korea, Mexico, Germany, and the U.S. Awarded a full-tuition scholarship, del Bosque enrolled at Berklee in 2018 and is currently studying a dual major in performance and film scoring with a minor in orchestral conducting. Her music features contemporary and traditional Afro-Cuban styles, mixed with the influence of European and jazz ingredients.
