Mina Nystad
Mina Nystad is a vocalist, composer, singer-songwriter, and pianist from Sandefjord, Norway. Graduating this summer from Berklee College of Music, she is now working releasing several different projects, including her debut album. With expressive and soulful melodies and harmonies and bittersweet lyrics delivered through a smooth and emotional voice, her music embodies heartfelt and honest storytelling. Blending jazz, singer-songwriter, and folk influences, she draws inspiration from the Great American Songbook and the old soul, folk, and pop classics to contemporary jazz. Being a working musician and artist for years, she has played several Norwegian festivals and venues such as the Kongsberg Jazz festival, Oslo Spektrum, and Hagefestivalen, as well as opened for and played with notable Norwegian artists such as Mathias Eick, Sondre Lerche, and Silya.
