Mestizas is a musical group specializing in a fusion of flamenco, jazz, and various genres of Latin American and Caribbean folklore. The group has an extensive repertoire of original songs as well as arrangements of traditional Spanish, Cuban, and Uruguayan songs. Known for their refined musicality, this all-female quintet stands out among bands from Berklee College of Music (where the group was formed) for its quality, originality, aesthetic, and social sense, making them an in-demand group on campus and in the Boston area.
This event is part of the Sunset Concerts at Symphony Park series, a partnership including Berklee, Fenway Civic Association, Friends of Symphony Park, and the City of Boston.
