The Berklee Jazz and Gender Justice Quintet is comprised of students and faculty from the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice (JGJ), founded and led by NEA Jazz Master Terri Lyne Carrington. The mission of the institute is to support and sustain a cultural transformation in jazz, with the commitment to recruit, teach, mentor, and advocate for musicians seeking to study or perform jazz, with gender justice and racial justice as guiding principles.

The JGJ All-Stars include: Ian Michael on voice, Alyss Armstrong on trumpet, Matt Stevens on guitar, Chase Behar on bass, and Terri Lyne Carrington on drums.
