Harold Charon is a pianist, composer, and performer originally from Havana, Cuba. He began piano lessons at 5 years old, studying primarily classical, Latin jazz, and jazz. While a student at the National School of Music in 2012, Harold was selected to play on a tour around Canada at part of the Halifax Jazz Festival. In 2014 he was invited to study at the Stanford Summer Jazz Camp, where he received training from Taylor Eigsti and Chick Corea.
Harold has worked with a variety of artists, including Leo Vera, La Cruzada, Los Clasicos, and others. In 2016 he joined Janio Abreu and Aire D’ Concierto, where he worked as a pianist and composer for Ruy Lopez-Nussa y La Academia. Currently, he is finishing his studies at Berklee, majoring in jazz composition and performance.
