Gaby Cotter is a singer-songwriter and educator originally from Panama, now based in Boston. Her music mixes pop with different colors of jazz, blues, R&B, and Latin American sounds. As a result, her mature musical approach fascinates even the most knowledgeable listener.
Cotter’s powerful interpretive ability was influenced by the voices of renowned singers such as Ruben Blades, Mercedes Sosa, José José, Rocio Durcal, Tito Rodriguez, Eydie Gormé, La Lupe, Christina Aguilera, Olga Tañón, Celia Cruz, and Shakira, just to mention a few. Beyond any musical genre, she is moved by words, and tells stories one song at a time.
