Born and raised in Maryland, Christian Inman(Opens in a new window) always knew music was his purpose. He grew up singing in church, watching his father lead the praise team. Inman’s parents noticed early on that he, like his father, had an intense passion for music, so they cultivated it in every way possible. Inman had always performed, but it wasn’t until 2018 that he knew he wanted to be an artist. From his inability to protest in June 2020, he released his song “Change,” which garnered praise from Liza Koshy, NBC4, and millions over TikTok and Instagram. In collaboration with Lourde Childs, “2AM” snatches the listeners from wherever they are to a nightclub with reverb-heavy synths and a driving kick and bass combo. After creating a buzz with “2AM” Christian released, “TALK TO ME,” and “ALL I NEED,” both heavily influenced by dance, house, and electronic pop.
