Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer Anabel Gil Díaz, graduated from the Superior Institute of Art in her hometown of Havana, Cuba. Since November 2014, she has developed professionally as a flutist, professor, and producer with the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Orbert Davis. She has performed both classical and jazz repertoire at renowned venues throughout the U.S. and Europe, and has received positive reviews from Splash Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, El País, and El Diario

Gil has had the opportunity to study with renowned artists such as James Galway, Paquito d’Rivera, Dave Santoro, Marquis Hill, and many others. She received a full scholarship from the University of Lynn in Miami, as well as the Presidential Scholarship from Berklee College of Music and the Artists Society (AIE) Scholarship from the Sociedad de Artistas Intérpretes o Ejecutantes in Madrid, Spain. She recently recorded with Terri Lyne Carrington for Carrington’s New Jazz Standards album, scheduled to be released in September 2022.
