Solo Smith
Solo Smith is an artist and producer from Memphis, Tennessee. He has over 160,000 plays on SoundCloud and has been featured on the Daytime Emmy–nominated TV series Tough Love. Currently in his sixth semester at Berklee College of Music, he has shared the stage with Yebba, Kenneth Whalum, Steve Jordan, and other artists. Inspired by the smooth, melodic baselines of James Jamerson and classic soul of the ’60s and ’70s, Solo’s music blends neo-soul, hip-pop, and alternative music. His influences range from Al Green, Frank Ocean, and Steve Lacy to Kurt Cobain, PJ Morton, and Quincy Jones.
