SKY is a powerhouse vocalist forging her own genre called popera, a merging of her eclectic backgrounds in rock, opera, and contemporary music. She pulls inspiration from artists like Queen, Billie Eilish, Lorde, and Lady Gaga, and her strong imagery, theatrical writing, and powerful vocals leave a lasting impression on her listeners.
Originally from Sarasota, Florida, SKY grew up in the halls of an opera house from ages 9 to 18. After spending her days playing various roles and learning the ways of Verdi and Puccini, she moved into the contemporary rock genre to explore her desire to write. There she found a love for other genres besides classical. Now she hopes to build a bridge between the theatrical world and the contemporary.
