Noah Harrington is an award-winning upright and electric bassist, composer, and bandleader from Lexington, Massachusetts. He is pursuing a dual major in jazz composition and performance at Berklee College of Music, where he studies with Terence Blanchard, Ralph Peterson Jr., Ayn Inserto, and John Lockwood.
Harrington is a founding member of OctoPladd and the Third Wing, both of which play at various venues in the Boston area and beyond. At Lexington High School, he participated in the Honors Jazz Combo for three years, attending the Charles Mingus High School Festival and Competition three times, where he received two outstanding soloist awards.
Harrington has also studied with and been inspired by the work of Jesse Williams, Rick McLaughlin, and Bruno RÃ¥berg. His main influences include Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, and Ron Carter.
